Liz was enjoying an ordinary day at home, taking care of her small children, when she slipped on a bathroom rug in the dark and was knocked unconscious after her face hit the edge of the sink. Upon awakening, Liz noticed extreme discomfort around her right eye, bridge of her nose, and mouth. A dentist friend of Liz immediately recognized her need for cosmetic and functional rehabilitative treatment and referred her to Nuance Dental Specialists.
The damage to Liz’s fractured teeth required the placement of three restorations: a dental implant, plus a porcelain veneer, and a full-coverage all-ceramic crown. Liz had always wanted to brighten her smile, so we added a round of tooth whitening to her treatment to enhance her gorgeous smile.

When Robert self-referred himself to Nuance Dental Specialists he was having issues related to the function of his current implant bridges and he wanted to improve the overall cosmetics as well. In order to create a seamless patient experience we utilized a combination of analog and digital protocols. Following intraoral scans of the existing implants, we fabricated a PMMA mock-up to show Robert a quick preview of the morphology and function of the proposed All-on-6 implant prosthetics.
The final restorations are made of a highly polished zirconia ceramic which provides a perfect combination of strength, aesthetics, and hygiene for the patient. In the end, we were able to give Robert the phenomenal smile he deserved.

Sara is a hard-working nurse as has a lot of experience with the medical field. To give Sara a truly one of a kind and stunning smile, we gave her two rounds of tooth whitening, followed by an implant crown on her right central incisor to replace her old implant crown, and an all-ceramic crown on her left central incisor so that she would never have to deal with the discoloration and chipping of the composite bonding that was placed many years ago.

Galen was no stranger to dental work. Over the years, he had lost a tooth, broke a tooth - had some resin-bonding added, received an implant, started Invisalign, and by the time he self-referred to Nuance Dental Specialists, he was lost on how to ever get his smile back. We used a proprietary protocol to freshen-up and whiten Galen’s teeth, while at the same time painlessly removing all the existing orthodontic resin left over from his aligners. The implant and adjacent natural tooth were restored with highly aesthetic all-ceramic crowns.
Seeing a young patient, like Galen, smile again with vigor, confidence, and without shame was incredible. After removing the implant hybrids from each arch, we attached 12 scan bodies to each of Jim’s existing implants and utilized thee most accurate digital photogrammetry system available to capture a precise intraoral scan.
The benefit of using a photogrammetry system means that the fit of the final prosthesis will be accurate to within 7 microns. For reference, the thickness of a human hair is about 7-10x this size. This attention to detail coupled with a digital smile design preview ensures that the final prosthesis possesses exceptional functionality and aesthetics.
To reduce the risk of fracture when dealing with acrylic All-on-6 implant hybrids, we use a monolithic (single piece) block that is then layered with pink, gingiva-colored resin. The final result was an outstanding, age-appropriate, natural looking dentition that matched the energy of Jim’s fantastic personality.

Megan has bilateral, congenitally missing lateral incisors. About 25 years ago she had two implants with ceramic crowns placed to replace the absent dentition. As time passed, she had the crowns replaced multiple times to try to improve the aesthetics, however, Megan was never satisfied with the final results. Megan felt like she was fighting a losing battle when she first sought out treatment at Nuance Dental Specialists. We knew that it would take a very specific type of porcelain to achieve the natural cosmetic look that Megan was searching for.
We utilized a fully-digital protocol to produce intraoral scans of Megan’s upper and lower dental arches. Utilizing these scans, we fabricated custom bleaching trays to whiten and brighten her teeth. Once the desired color was achieved, we painlessly removed the old implant crowns, and replaced them with highly aesthetic all-ceramic crowns. In all phases of Megan’s smile, we were able to achieve a beautiful final result that gave her the confidence to show her amazing teeth off to the world.
